Working as a International Student in The USA

  • Who can apply: Individuals with a bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of work experience. They must have an employer who sponsors them.
  • How to get a Green Card: Similar to EB-2, the employer files paperwork to show there is no qualified U.S. worker for the position. Once approved, the individual can apply for a Green Card.

H-1B Visa (Temporary Work Visa)

  • Who can apply: Graduates with a job offer in a specialty field that requires a degree (such as tech, engineering, or healthcare).
  • How to get a Green Card: After working on an H-1B visa, the individual can apply for a Green Card through EB-2 or EB-3, with the employer’s help.

Diversity Visa Lottery (DV Lottery)

  • Who can apply: Individuals from countries with low immigration rates to the U.S. They enter a random lottery for a chance to be selected.
  • How to get a Green Card: If selected, the individual can apply for a Green Card without needing a job offer or employer sponsorship.
